Daniel Johnson (135) finished third at the West Regionals and will be Wilkes Central's sole representative at the 3A State Championships for the second straight year. Daniel won the bronze in a thrilling seesaw battle when he scored a reversal with 2 seconds remaining and captured a 9-8 decision.
